Common saltwater fish harvested from Alaskan waters include pollock, halibut, sole, cod and black cod. Shellfish varieties are king crab, Alaska Dungeness crab, snow crab, Alaska scallops and Alaska spot prawns. Five varieties of salmon are commonly brought to market.
